From your question to a finished verdict

Public Mood is a done-for-you online sentiment analysis service: you send a topic, we deliver a finished analysis with a clear verdict. There is no dashboard to learn.

1. Send your topic

   Tell us your question, the keywords, names and hashtags, the period, and the countries and languages. Add your own pages if you want reactions there.

2. We pick the platforms

   All platforms are included. We choose the right mix for your topic, from X, Reddit and YouTube to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and Twitch live chat.

3. We analyse and check

   Every post is labelled critical, supportive or neutral, and labels are checked by hand on a subset. Facts used to explain shifts are checked against credible sources.

4. You get the verdict

   A password-protected report site with the verdict, big numbers, timeline, anonymised quotes, news coverage, sources and method, plus its own chatbot. PDF included. Delivered within 3 working days.

What's in the report

The Sources tab

Every analysis has a Sources tab in three tiers: news and fact-check sources, public channels with the number of items analysed, and private users shown only as counts per platform and week. Private individuals are never named or linked.

News coverage

When the topic is in the news, we add news coverage at no extra cost: how much has been written, in which outlets, when, and the tone of coverage, on the same timeline as online sentiment. We show headlines and short credited excerpts, never full articles. News coverage covers written online news sources only. It does not include TV, radio, podcasts or print-only editions. News coverage is based on written online news sources we can find through search. We may miss articles behind paywalls, in smaller outlets or in languages outside the analysis scope, so treat the outlet count as a minimum, not a complete list.

The method section

Every analysis ends with a method section stating the platforms, the number of posts analysed, the period and the caveats.
